About PDFTests

PDFTests.com has been publishing free, printable language tests since 2021. Our goal is simple: give teachers, students and self-learners high-quality tests they can download, print and use straight away – without sign-ups, paywalls or email forms.

What you will find here

• Level and placement tests from starter to advanced (A1–C1) to find the right starting point.
• Grammar tests focused on one topic at a time – tenses, modals, prepositions, clauses and more.
• Vocabulary tests from everyday words to C2-level vocabulary.
• General English tests for reading, idioms, synonyms and exam practice.
• German level tests (Einstufungstests), with more languages on the way.

How we work

Every test is published as a clean PDF that prints well on A4 and Letter paper. Many tests include an answer key so learners can check their own work. We regularly review and update our tests and add new ones.

Free for everyone

PDFTests is free to use. The site is supported by advertising, which allows us to keep every test free to download.
