Notes for teachers

Use this test after teaching both conditionals, or as a diagnostic before a review lesson. It targets the most common B1 errors: putting 'will' or 'would' in the if-clause, mixing tenses across the two clauses, and using 'unless' with a negative. Part 3 checks whether students can choose the right conditional from the context. After marking, ask students to write their own real and unreal 'if' sentences about their week and their dreams.
