Notes for teachers

Use Part 1 as a warm-up check of basic choices, then use Parts 2 and 3 to find typical errors: extra pronouns ('the phone that I bought it'), 'what' instead of 'that', 'that' in non-defining clauses and 'which' instead of 'where'. Part 4 tests the same points in a short text. As a follow-up, ask learners to write five sentences about their town or friends with each relative word, then swap and correct each other's work.
