Notes for teachers

Part 1 checks form, Part 2 the choice between zu and no zu, and Part 3 infinitive clauses with um, ohne and anstatt, including contrast with damit and dass. Typical errors targeted are 'zu anrufen' instead of 'anzurufen', zu after modal verbs and lassen, and mixing dass with zu. As follow-up, ask learners to rewrite dass-clauses as infinitive clauses and explain when this is impossible (different subjects).
