Part 1 checks forms, Part 2 focuses on meaning and use, and Part 3 targets word order and typical errors. Watch for common mistakes: confusing würde with wurde or werde, mixing hätte and wäre, using kein instead of nicht, and putting the verb in the wrong position in wenn-clauses. As a follow-up, ask students to write five sentences beginning with 'Wenn ich … hätte/wäre, würde ich …' and to role-play polite requests in a café.
