Notes for teachers

Questions move from very basic forms to the upper end of A1, so a learner who scores 32/40 or more is generally secure at this level, while a score below 24 suggests reviewing A1 basics. The distractors target common beginner errors: gender agreement, mon/ma before a vowel, à + le contractions, pas de after negation, and confusing homophones such as fais/fait. Use the questions a learner gets wrong as a checklist for follow-up practice.
