Notes for teachers

Use this test after introducing basic negation, or as a diagnostic before moving on to other negative words. It targets frequent A1 errors: forgetting to elide ne before a vowel, putting pas in the wrong place, keeping un/des after a negative verb, and answering negative questions with oui instead of si. As a follow-up, have students turn true sentences about themselves into negative ones, then ask each other negative questions to practise si and non.
