Notes for teachers

Use this test after introducing the high-frequency irregular verbs, or as a diagnostic at the start of an A1 course. The distractors target typical errors: regularised forms (*faisez, *voulent, *boient), the wrong subject ending (je peut, tu fait), être instead of avoir for age and hunger, and the wrong position of ne...pas. For follow-up, have learners write a short paragraph about their weekly routine using at least eight different irregular verbs.
