This A2 French grammar test practises the two main ways to talk about the future: the futur proche (aller + infinitive) and the futur simple. Its 30 questions cover regular and common irregular forms, negatives, questions and choosing the right tense in context. It suits A2 learners, and teachers can use it for classwork, homework or review.
Use Part 1 and Part 2 separately to check form, then use Part 3 to check meaning and use. The test targets typical A2 errors: a past participle instead of the infinitive after aller ('vais allé'), invented stems ('allerons', 'faira', 'venirai'), wrong word order with ne...pas and object pronouns, and the future tense after si. As follow-up, learners can write five plans for next weekend with the futur proche and five predictions for their life in ten years with the futur simple.
