Notes for teachers

Use this test after teaching both regular and irregular past forms, or as a review before moving on to the present perfect. It targets common A2 errors such as over-regularising irregular verbs (buyed, taked), keeping the past form after 'did' (did you got), spelling changes (stopped, carried) and wrong time expressions (before two years). For follow-up, ask students to write a short email about their last weekend using at least five irregular verbs and one question.
