Notes for teachers

Use this test after teaching comparatives and superlatives, or as a diagnostic before revision. It targets typical A2 errors such as double comparatives (more older), wrong spelling (hoter, happyer), regular endings on irregular adjectives (gooder, baddest), and confusion between than, that and then. You can follow up by asking students to write five sentences comparing their town, family or favourite things, using at least one negative and one question.
