Liebe Clara,

Amira

  2. Answer every question without a dictionary or time pressure.
  3. Check your answers and note the topics you need to review.

Notes for teachers

Give the test without dictionaries; learners who score 32/40 or more are generally secure at A1 and ready for A2 material. Parts 2 and 3 target typical errors such as nicht vs. kein, verb-second word order, wo/wohin and the accusative and dative of pronouns and articles. Review any part where learners lose three or more points, and use the reading text afterwards for speaking practice, for example by having learners write a similar email about their own week.
