This A1 grammar test practises the German possessive articles mein, dein, sein, ihr, unser, euer and Ihr. It covers choosing the right owner, nominative and accusative endings, questions, negative sentences and typical learner mistakes. It suits beginners in class, at home or as a quick progress check.
Part 1 checks whether learners pick the right possessive for the owner, Part 2 focuses on endings in the nominative and accusative, and Part 3 mixes questions, negatives and error spotting. Typical errors targeted include sein/ihr confusion, forgetting -en with masculine accusative nouns, the plural -e, and capitalising formal Ihr. As a follow-up, have learners describe a family photo or their classmates' belongings using different possessives.
