Notes for teachers

Use this test after introducing the present tense of sein and haben, or as a review. It targets typical A1 errors such as 'Ich habe 20 Jahre' instead of 'Ich bin 20 Jahre alt', 'Ich bin Hunger' instead of 'Ich habe Hunger', mixing up sind/seid, and using nicht instead of kein before nouns. As a follow-up, ask learners to write five sentences about themselves using both verbs, including one negative sentence and one question.
