Notes for teachers
Use the test as a diagnostic before a C2 grammar unit or as a revision check before exams. It targets persistent errors at this level: indicative instead of Konjunktiv I in reported speech, wrong verb order with double infinitives, dative after 'gegenüber' and genitive prepositions, the 'Doppelperfekt', and confusing objective and subjective modal meaning. For follow-up, have students rewrite news excerpts in reported speech or convert verbal clauses into nominal style and back.
