Notes for teachers
Give the test in one 60-minute sitting without dictionaries. A score of 42/50 or more suggests the learner is secure at C2. A score of 34–41 points to a strong C1 with gaps to work on, and anything lower calls for a C1 review. Parts 1 and 3 target errors that persist even in very advanced learners, such as conditional forms after si, se entrevistaron a, dequeísmo and queísmo, laísmo, and the gerund of posteriority. Use the explanations for follow-up work, for example asking students to correct the distractors or to write their own examples with each idiom.
