Notes for teachers
Use the test as a 60-minute placement check. A score of 42 or more out of 50 suggests a learner is secure at C2, and 35 to 41 points to a strong C1 with gaps. The items target persistent near-native errors such as 'malgré que', 'pallier à', 'se rappeler de', participle agreement with pronominal verbs and 'voir + infinitive', and confusion between quoique and quoi que. As follow-up, ask learners to correct a short authentic text containing similar errors, or to rewrite the reading passage in a more informal register.
