Notes for teachers

Start by holding up classroom objects and asking 'Whose is this?' so learners answer 'It's mine / It's hers'. Typical mistakes are using an apostrophe (your's, her's), using an adjective without a noun (It's my), and putting a noun after a pronoun (theirs house). As a follow-up, collect one item from each student in a box and let learners pick an item and ask 'Is this yours?' until they find the owner.
