About this test

A2 present perfect worksheet with ever, never, just, already and yet: forms, negatives and questions. Printable, with answers.

Topics covered

Present perfectPast participlesEver and neverJust and alreadyYet in negatives and questionsWord order

Notes for teachers

Before you start, review the form have/has + past participle and drill common irregular participles (been, seen, eaten, written, bought). Typical mistakes are using the past simple form instead of the participle (have went), using 'already' in negatives instead of 'yet', and putting the adverb in the wrong position. As a follow-up, learners write five 'Have you ever...?' questions and interview a partner, then report back using never, already and yet.
