Notes for teachers
The test moves from forming single nouns to transforming whole clauses and spotting errors in nominal style. It targets frequent C1 errors: wrong gender of derived nouns, missing genitive endings, dative after genitive prepositions, wrong adjective endings before nominalised infinitives and lost prepositions (Verzicht auf, Abhängigkeit von). As follow-up, ask learners to rewrite a short informal email in nominal style, or to turn a formal notice back into verbal style.
