Notes for teachers

Use this test after teaching both tenses, or as a review to find out which students still mix them up. It targets common A2 errors: missing third-person -s, wrong -ing spelling, using 'be' with the base form ('Are you understand?'), using continuous forms with state verbs, and using the continuous for routines. As a follow-up, ask students to write a short text about their normal week and what they are doing this week, using at least five verbs in each tense.
