Topics covered

Notes for teachers

Start by asking learners simple questions (What's your name? Where do you live?) and write the question words on the board with a simple picture or symbol for each. Typical mistakes are leaving out do/does (Where you live?), keeping the statement word order (How old you are?) and mixing up who/where or when/where. As a follow-up, learners can write six questions for a partner using different question words and then interview each other.
