C1 Spanish worksheet on discourse connectors: contrast, cause, consequence, condition and purpose, with mood choice. Printable, with answers.
Start with Exercises 1 and 3 to review meaning, then move to Exercises 2, 4 and 5, which focus on the mood each connector requires. Typical mistakes include using the indicative after 'a menos que', 'con tal de que' or 'en caso de que', confusing 'sino' with 'si no', and writing 'sino que' before a noun. As a follow-up, ask learners to write a short argumentative paragraph using at least six connectors from the worksheet.
