Travel vocabularyShopping vocabularyVerb collocationsWord formationUseful phrases

Notes for teachers

Start with Exercise 1 to check meaning, then move to collocations and word forms before the freer sentence work. Typical mistakes include confusing taille (clothes) and pointure (shoes), saying payer en carte instead of par carte, and making cher agree after coûter. As a follow-up, have pairs role-play buying a train ticket or trying on clothes in a shop, using the phrases from Exercise 5.
