Notes for teachers

Start with Exercise 1 as a warm-up. Draw a simple family tree on the board so learners can check their answers visually. Typical mistakes are using the wrong gender with family nouns (mon tante instead of ma tante) and using prendre instead of faire for chores, so make a two-column list on the board: 'faire la vaisselle / les courses / le ménage' and 'prendre une douche / le bus / le petit-déjeuner'. As a follow-up, ask learners to write five sentences about their own morning routine, or to describe their home to a partner.
